Green Deliciousness

I woke up bright and early, and trudged through the snow (what? snow? April? I know, it doesn’t make sense to me either) to the gym. Before I went, I had a delicious pre-workout snack of a piece of homemade bread. yum!


When I got home, I decided to try a Green Monster.


Into the blender:

  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seed
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 small banana
  • ice

Blend and serve!



Green Deliciousness! I was more than a little apprehensive (it’s green!), but I loved the taste. The banana was most dominant, followed by the almond milk. The spinach made it so refreshing – but not a lot of spinach taste!


This will definitely be joining the breakfast rotation!
